My client is seeking a driven Qualified / Part Qualified Accountant to join their expanding team in Cork. You’ll work with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries, delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services.
Responsibilities: - Financial Statements: Prepare and review financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
- Tax Compliance: Assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns, including income tax, corporation tax, and VAT.
- Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and providing tailored financial advice.
- Audit Support: Contribute to audit processes, ensuring statutory compliance and assisting in the preparation of audit reports.
- Management Accounts: Prepare management accounts and financial reports to support clients’ decision-making.
- Advisory Services: Offer business advisory support including budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Regulatory Awareness: Keep up to date with changes in accounting standards and tax legislation to ensure compliance and advise clients accordingly.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior accountants and team members, contributing to the success and growth of the firm.
- Software Use: Utilise accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero to manage financial processes efficiently.
Qualifications & Experience: - Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CPA qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Irish accounting standards and tax regulations.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
- Analytical Thinking: A proactive approach to problem-solving with keen attention to detail.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
