Qualified Accountant - Westmeath

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied workload, working closely with clients and getting involved in more than just one area of accountancy.

The Role You will work across a broad portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients, providing a range of accounting and tax services.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact
• Preparing management accounts and financial statements
• Personal and corporate tax returns
• VAT, RCT and other relevant tax compliance
• Assisting with audit assignments, where applicable
• Providing general accounting and commercial advice to clients
• Supporting clients with their day-to-day accounting requirements
• Working closely with the senior team on more complex assignments

About You

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified
• Ideally 1+ years post-qualified experience
• Strong experience in an accountancy practice environment
• Good knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance
• Comfortable managing your own client portfolio
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commercially aware, with a practical approach to client service
• A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved across the practice
