An established, progressive professional services firm based in South Dublin is seeking to appoint a Senior Accountant as part of its continued growth. This role would suit a practice-trained accountant who is looking for broad client exposure, hands-on responsibility and the opportunity to work in a modern, technology-enabled environment.

The Opportunity

  • Hybrid working model (4 days onsite / 1 day remote).

Role Highlights

Key Responsibilities
  • Full responsibility for a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Reviewing work prepared by accounts assistants, including bookkeeping, payroll and VAT returns.
  • Preparation and review of management accounts and statutory financial statements.
  • Oversight of personal and corporate tax compliance.
  • Preparation of financial projections and ad hoc client reports.
  • Ensuring all client deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
  • Must be a Qualified Accountant - ACCA or ACA
  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience within a small to medium-sized accounting practice - must have Irish practice experience.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Solid tax experience, including VAT, RCT, Corporation Tax and Income Tax.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes
  • Comfortable working with cloud-based accounting systems; Xero experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
