Qualified Accountant - Offaly

A well-established accountancy practice in Tullamore is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join their close-knit team. You will work directly with an experienced Partner, gaining excellent exposure across accounts preparation, taxation, and client advisory.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a small practice environment, values client interaction, and wants to take ownership of their work.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Preparation and filing of income tax, corporation tax, and VAT returns
• Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
• Advising clients on tax planning and general business matters
• Assisting with audits where required
• Liaising directly with clients and building strong relationships
• Ensuring compliance with Irish tax and accounting standards

Key Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA)
• Strong accounts preparation experience within an accountancy practice
• Good working knowledge of Irish tax (income tax, corporation tax, VAT)
• Experience working in a small or medium-sized practice is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive and client-focused approach
