Practice Accountant – Multiple Roles (Qualified Accountant)

A number of my clients are experiencing continued growth and as a result they are seeking to hire qualified practice accountants. These roles offer exposure to varied client portfolios including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and larger corporate entities with career enhancing opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of financial statements for a portfolio of clients.
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact for advisory matters.
• Corporation tax, income tax, and VAT compliance and other Tax responsibilities (CAT, CGT, VIES, RCT).
• Assisting with year-end accounts, management accounts, and financial reporting.
• Supervising and reviewing work prepared by trainees or junior accountants.
• Supporting partners and managers with ad-hoc advisory and practice projects.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CPA with 2–5+ years’ experience in an Irish accountancy practice.
• Strong experience preparing statutory financial statements under FRS 102, 105.
• Solid working knowledge of Irish tax compliance, including corporation tax, income tax, and VAT.
• Experience managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Experience reviewing work of junior staff and providing guidance where required.
• Strong proficiency with practice software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting systems.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
