Qualified Accountant - Kildare (Maynooth) - Practice

A growing accountancy practice based in Maynooth is seeking a Qualified Accountant with 2–3 years’ post-qualification experience to join their team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of SME clients across multiple industries while developing your technical and client management skills within a supportive practice environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of statutory financial statements for a portfolio of SME clients
• Preparation of management accounts and financial reporting for clients
• Completion of corporation tax, income tax, and VAT returns
• Assisting clients with business advisory and tax planning matters
• Liaising directly with clients to address queries and provide financial guidance
• Supporting junior staff and reviewing work where appropriate
• Ensuring compliance with Irish accounting standards and tax regulations
• Assisting with practice development and improving internal processes

Requirements

• ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified
• 2–3 years PQE, ideally within an Irish accountancy practice
• Strong knowledge of Irish tax and financial reporting requirements
• Experience preparing accounts for SMEs and owner-managed businesses
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or Surf
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple client assignments and meet deadlines
• Experience managing a client portfolio
• Exposure to audit or advisory work
• Experience reviewing junior staff work
