Project Quantity Surveyor

Company Intro / Summary
An established construction contractor is looking to add a Project Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team in Dún Laoghaire. The company delivers a varied portfolio of civil engineering and building projects, offering the successful candidate exposure to different sectors and project types.

The immediate role is on an established project in the area, with a strong pipeline of upcoming work already secured. Once this project is completed, there will be the opportunity to rotate onto another project, providing excellent long-term stability and continuity.

Responsibilities
• Managing the commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to completion
• Preparing valuations, cost reports, forecasts and final accounts
• Managing subcontractor and supplier accounts
• Procurement and negotiation of subcontract packages
• Monitoring project costs, variations and claims
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Working closely with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager and site team
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers

Requirements
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
• Experience across civil engineering and/or building projects
• Strong understanding of procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts
• Good contractual and commercial awareness
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage projects independently and work as part of a wider team

Package
• Salary: €65,000 – €75,000 DOE
• Dún Laoghaire based
