ProSource Group are working with one of the leading M&E contractors. They are seeking a  Project Planner to join their growing team team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules for mechanical and electrical engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in project planning, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop detailed project schedules in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  2. Utilise project management software to create, update, and maintain project schedules, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  3. Identify project milestones, critical path activities, and dependencies to optimise project timelines and resource allocation.
  4. Monitor project progress against established schedules, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
  5. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment according to project schedules.
  6. Communicate schedule updates, progress reports, and potential risks to project stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  7. Conduct regular meetings with project teams to review schedules, address concerns, and resolve conflicts to keep projects on track.
  8. Collaborate with the estimating team to develop accurate project timelines and resource requirements during the bid process.
  9. Continuously improve planning processes and tools to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment on all projects.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
  2. Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  5. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
  6. Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  7. Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and permitting processes related to mechanical and electrical installations.
