Project Manager (Water/Wastewater)

This role will suit an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in water and wastewater projects, gained with a civil engineering contractor. You'll take full ownership of project delivery: managing teams and subcontractors, and keeping projects safe, on programme and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for delivering water and wastewater projects from mobilisation to handover.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, cost reporting and commercial performance.
• Lead and coordinate site managers, engineers, foremen, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Oversee pipelaying, pumping stations, treatment works upgrades and associated civil works.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documents, and manage RFIs and technical queries.
• Plan and monitor progress against programme, and put recovery measures in place where needed.
• Keep quality control, testing and commissioning records, and as-built documentation, accurate.
• Make sure all works meet project specifications, environmental requirements and Health & Safety standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, local authorities and utility stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop engineers and site staff within the project team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline (essential).
• Minimum 7 years' experience on civil engineering projects.
• Proven experience with a civil engineering contractor specialising in water and wastewater (essential).
• Previous experience at Project Manager, Senior Engineer or Contracts Manager level.
• Strong knowledge of watermains, sewers, pumping stations and/or treatment plant works.
• Experience managing programmes, budgets and subcontractors.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Full Irish driving licence.
