Project Manager

This is a pivotal position within the delivery team, responsible for managing all on-site activities, overseeing project performance, and ensuring the smooth coordination between engineering, commercial, and operational teams. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical knowledge, leadership capability, and strong communication skills.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily site operations and ensure all works are executed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour teams.
• Drive progress against project milestones and contractual deliverables.
• Oversee material procurement, logistics, and planning of site resources.
• Manage all commercial and operational aspects of project delivery, including cost control and reporting.
• Liaise closely with the client, design consultants, and local authorities to maintain clear lines of communication.
• Support the wider team on programme management, quality assurance, and HSQE compliance.
• Contribute to progress meetings, reporting, and stakeholder updates.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or relevant qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a site or project management role within civil engineering, utilities, or public realm works.
• Background in Public Works Contracts (PWC) is a bonus but not essential.
• Strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
• Confident decision-maker with a solutions-focused mindset.
• Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience liaising with clients from project inception through to completion.
