My client is the leading Residential Developer in Cork and due to their large pipeline of work and continued success, they are seeking an ambitious Project Engineer to join their team.
Duties: - Successful candidate to be enthusiastic, confident & motivated with good communication & mathematical skills capable of working independently or as part of a Team.
- To be able to demonstrate a pragmatic & proactive approach to problem solving across a number of Construction Sites, whilst delivering the technical expertise & liaising with Project design teams & Senior Management.
- Be expected to review all design drawings & has a good grasp of building regulations. To ensure that monthly Drawing Register is issued by Project Design Team & that all site drawings are up to date.
- To carry out the setting out for all works on the site. Ensure that information required for setting out purposes are sourced in a timely fashion so works can be progressed as per Project Program.
- To provide sub-contractors particularly groundworkers & block layers datums to work off and ensure a record is kept of the same.
- Implementing the Company Quality System and ensuring contractors sign-off on all completed works. Company will be audited yearly on their ISO accreditation so records of Quality Control management is a must. Sign-off sheets will be provided.
- To keep good, detailed records of all site activities, covering extra & variation works from subcontractors and that all records are communicated to Senior Management & the Commercial Team in a timely fashion.
- To ensure any problems that may arise on Projects due to Design mistakes are agreed and recorded via email correspondence with Design Team member before progressing with solution, Design Team must confirm solutions are compliant.
- Ensuring compliance with all drawings, specifications & building regulations is monitored and recorded, non-conformances to be issued where necessary.
- To manage Team of Engineers and coordinate smooth operation of Team & Team responsibilities
Experience - A minimum 5-years’ experience of managing & programming of site works.
- Design experience would be advantageous.
- Need to be experienced in CAD/Revit.
- Technically minded to ensure compliance & specifications are been delivered.
- Ability to work to deadlines has a strong work ethic and is keen to progress with career.
- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
