This role will involve overseeing the successful delivery of large-scale bespoke engineering and precast projects, supporting coordination between design, manufacturing, logistics, and site installation teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring quality, programme delivery, and smooth execution from production through to final installation.
Projects are highly bespoke, requiring strong planning, coordination, and communication skills to ensure successful delivery to programme and specification.
The role would suit candidates from a Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Construction Engineering background with strong organisational skills and an interest in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight & Coordination - Oversee the delivery of bespoke engineering and precast projects from production through to installation.
- Coordinate project activities across multiple manufacturing areas to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
- Work closely with internal production teams to ensure components are manufactured in line with technical requirements and delivery schedules.
- Monitor project progress and identify risks or delays, implementing solutions where required.
Engineering & Technical Support - Carry out setting out and engineering coordination activities where required.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure accurate execution.
- Coordinate with design and technical teams to ensure project information is available ahead of manufacturing and installation phases.
- Support quality assurance processes to ensure products meet required standards and specifications.
Site, Logistics & Installation Coordination - Liaise with installation supervisors, transport providers, and site teams to coordinate deliveries and site activities.
- Support installation planning, ensuring products arrive on site in line with programme requirements.
- Work closely with clients and contractors throughout project delivery, maintaining strong working relationships.
- Coordinate with Quantity Surveying and commercial teams regarding programme timelines and project requirements.
Quality, Materials & Programme Management - Monitor material management and quality control across project delivery.
- Ensure manufacturing and installation works are aligned to project schedules and client expectations.
- Coordinate labour resources across various project areas depending on production and installation requirements.
- Maintain accurate project records and support reporting requirements.
Requirements - Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- At least 3+ years in a Site Engineer, Project Engineer, or similar project delivery role.
- Experience within construction, manufacturing, precast, structural steel, modular, or heavy engineering environments would be advantageous.
- Setting out experience would be beneficial but not essential.
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work across fast-paced project environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise with clients, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery.
- Full driving licence preferred and willingness to travel to project sites when required.
