A well-established, fast-growing decarbonisation and energy systems specialist is expanding its Dublin Design team and is hiring both a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer and a Principal Electrical Design Engineer.
This is a key hire phase for the business. They are investing heavily in their Dublin operation and are looking for senior engineers who want real influence - not just another design seat.
The Opportunity You will take ownership of design delivery across large-scale commercial energy centre and low-carbon retrofit projects, working from concept through to build and commissioning.
These roles sit in a design & build environment, working closely with fabrication, project management and commissioning teams to ensure solutions are practical, buildable and high-performing.
Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - Lead mechanical design of LTHW, MTHW, heat pump and chiller-based systems
- Develop plant schematics, calculations and specifications
- Support BMS strategy and commissioning
- Contribute to decarbonisation and energy efficiency solutions
Principal Electrical Design Engineer - Lead electrical building services design including LV/ELV systems
- Design power distribution, control systems and integration of renewable technologies
- Ensure compliance with UK & Irish standards
- Provide technical leadership across projects
Candidate Requirements - Degree-qualified and Chartered (or working toward)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a design engineer
- Strong building services design background
- Experience in commercial or industrial energy systems
- Comfortable leading projects and mentoring engineers
