ProSource Group are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our clients power engineering team. This client is building a significant business, and accordingly this position presents a great opportunity for the right candidate, as they are looking for someone who will become part of their team and support the continued growth and development of the business. This role is a hybrid role, based in Dublin.
The role includes:
- Carry out site inspections, condition surveys, and witness installation and commissioning activities.
- Design and specify Electrical Building Services systems from concept to detailed design, including power, lighting, earthing, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts and lightning protection.
- Produce detailed electrical calculations using software such as Excel, Amtech and Dialux/Relux.
- Manage project workload to deliver work on time and within budget.
- Support and mentor junior engineers in their technical development.
- Work with the BIM team to develop Revit models and coordinated drawings.
- Attend client, design and project coordination meetings.
- Prepare technical specifications, design reports and client presentations.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Relevant experience in Building Services Engineering with a strong interest in electrical design.
- Chartered Electrical Engineer, or working towards chartership.
- Degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Good knowledge of Irish electrical standards, regulations and industry codes of practice.
