Principal Civil Engineer - North Dublin

ProSource are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading international engineering consultancy, for a Principal Civil Engineer to join their Dublin office.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead the delivery of high-profile civil engineering projects across the Aviation, Education, Residential, Healthcare, Industrial, Commercial and Energy sectors, working with both public and private sector clients.

Role

• Lead the design and delivery of a diverse range of civil engineering projects.
• Provide technical oversight across all civil engineering aspects of projects, with a particular focus on drainage and watermain design.
• Contribute to road design and ensure compliance with relevant design standards.
• Prepare and review technical reports across Planning, Tender and Construction stages.
• Produce and review civil engineering design calculations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Undertake the role of Ancillary Certifier for the civil engineering discipline on building projects.
• Lead and manage a team of civil engineers and technicians.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, encouraging professional development and technical excellence.

Requirements

• Honours Degree in Civil Engineering or related.
• Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.
• Proven experience leading civil engineering projects in Ireland.
• Strong technical background in drainage, watermain and general civil infrastructure design.
• Good understanding of road design principles.
• Experience using civil engineering design software such as Causeway and/or MicroDrainage.
• Strong leadership, organisational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
