Partner Designate - Senior Accountant - Roscommon

A well-established accountancy practice based in Roscommon is seeking to appoint a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. The firm has a strong reputation locally, particularly in the area of tax advisory and compliance, however this role is focused primarily on the accounts side of the practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice-trained accountant who would like to work closely with senior leadership in a firm that offers genuine long-term progression.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on a visible role within the business with a clear pathway to partnership within approximately five years.

The firm works with a broad and varied client base including SMEs, owner-managed businesses and private clients across a number of different sectors. There is no audit work involved in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of financial statements for a portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients.
• Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact for accounts-related queries.
• Preparation of management accounts and financial reporting where required.
• Working with the firm’s tax team to support tax compliance and planning matters.
• Providing financial insight and advisory support to clients
• Supporting and reviewing work completed by junior staff where applicable
• Building strong client relationships and contributing to the ongoing growth of the practice

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified
• Minimum 2–3 years post-qualified experience within an accountancy practice
• Strong experience preparing accounts for SMEs and owner-managed businesses
• Experience managing multiple clients across different sectors
• Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
• Motivated individual interested in progressing into a leadership role within a practice environment
