Newly/ Nearly Qualified Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Practice Accountant to join our growing accountancy practice. This role offers exposure to a broad range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. You will gain hands-on experience in accounts preparation, taxation, and client advisory while developing your career in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review financial statements and tax computations for sole traders, partnerships, and companies.
• Prepare statutory accounts for client companies in line with compliance requirements.
• Complete accounts for sole traders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and file VAT returns, perform bank reconciliations, and support clients with bookkeeping queries.
• Preparation of Audit files (where you have audit experience).
• Handle client queries in a professional and timely manner, providing clear advice and support.

About You:

• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA / ACA / CPA) with at least 1 year’s experience in practice.
• Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Commercially aware and committed to delivering excellent client service.
• Eager to learn, develop, and progress within a practice environment.
