Mechanical Workshop Coordinator

ProSource Group are working with Mechanical Contractor contractor who are seeking a Mechanical Workshop Coordinator. The Mechanical Workshop Coordinator is responsible for organising and overseeing daily workshop operations, ensuring maintenance and repair work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. The role bridges management and hands-on technicians.

Key Responsibilities 

• Plan and schedule maintenance, servicing, and repair work
• Allocate tasks to mechanics/technicians based on skillset
• Monitor workflow to meet deadlines and productivity targets
• Ensure minimal equipment downtime Supervise and support workshop staff
• Provide technical guidance where needed
• Assist with training and onboarding of apprentices
• Maintain service records, job cards, and maintenance logs
• Order and manage spare parts, tools, and consumables
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors
• Track KPIs (downtime, turnaround time, costs)
• Ensure compliance with Irish health & safety legislation
• Conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance
• Ensure adherence to manufacturer standards and internal procedures

Qualifications & Experience 

• Trade qualification 
• 3 –5+ years workshop or maintenance experience
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems 
• Experience in a supervisory or coordination role
