ProSource Group are working with Mechanical Contractor contractor who are seeking a Mechanical Workshop Coordinator. The Mechanical Workshop Coordinator is responsible for organising and overseeing daily workshop operations, ensuring maintenance and repair work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. The role bridges management and hands-on technicians.
Key Responsibilities - Plan and schedule maintenance, servicing, and repair work
- Allocate tasks to mechanics/technicians based on skillset
- Monitor workflow to meet deadlines and productivity targets
- Ensure minimal equipment downtime Supervise and support workshop staff
- Provide technical guidance where needed
- Assist with training and onboarding of apprentices
- Maintain service records, job cards, and maintenance logs
- Order and manage spare parts, tools, and consumables
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors
- Track KPIs (downtime, turnaround time, costs)
- Ensure compliance with Irish health & safety legislation
- Conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop
- Inspect completed work for quality and compliance
- Ensure adherence to manufacturer standards and internal procedures
Qualifications & Experience - Trade qualification
- 3 –5+ years workshop or maintenance experience
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems
- Experience in a supervisory or coordination role
