Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

Company Intro / Summary
A well-established Mechanical Contractor is looking to add a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with an established presence in the region and a strong pipeline of projects across Cork and the wider area.
The successful candidate will work across a variety of mechanical projects, taking responsibility for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account. Experience working with a Tier One contractor would be highly valued.

Responsibilities
• Managing the commercial aspects of mechanical projects from commencement through to completion
• Preparing valuations, cost reports, forecasts and commercial reports
• Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitoring project costs, variations, claims and final accounts
• Reviewing contracts and ensuring commercial compliance
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Working closely with project managers, site teams and senior management
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers

Requirements
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
• 3+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
• Strong mechanical construction experience
• Tier One contractor experience would be highly advantageous
• Good understanding of commercial and contractual processes
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Package
• Salary: €60,000 – €70,000 DOE
