ProSource Group are looking for a skilled Mechanical QC Lead to take ownership of all mechanical quality control activities across our projects. This role is responsible for ensuring that mechanical installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning work is carried out in full compliance with project specifications, client expectations, applicable industry standards, and the organisation's quality management system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee all mechanical quality control activities on assigned projects.
  • Prepare, implement, and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and inspection checklists.
  • Coordinate inspections for mechanical systems, including piping, static and rotating equipment, structural steelwork, and associated installations.
  • Review and approve quality documentation, inspection records, test reports, and handover dossiers.
  • Ensure all work complies with project specifications, relevant codes and standards, ISO requirements, and client quality expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and third-party inspection agencies.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), conduct root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and promote continuous improvement.
  • Supervise and mentor QC inspectors, providing technical support and ensuring consistent quality standards.
  • Support mechanical testing, commissioning, and project close-out activities, including final handover documentation.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits while ensuring effective implementation and continual improvement of the quality management system.
Requirements:
  • Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical QC Lead, Senior Mechanical QC Inspector, or in a Mechanical Quality Assurance position.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, pressure testing, rotating equipment, welding inspection practices, and quality control methodologies.
  • Sound knowledge of recognised industry standards and codes, including ASME, API, AWS, ISO 9001, and other project-specific requirements.
  • Experience leading quality inspection teams within industrial, energy, petrochemical, manufacturing, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, inspection procedures, and quality documentation.
