ProSource Group are working with a leading Mechanical Contractor who is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for Data Centre Projects in Germany & Belgium. Due to their continued expansion there will be an opportunity for progression & growth within the company. Ideally the individual can work as part of a team, but also take the initiative to work on a project solely.

Responsibilities:
  • Take overall responsibility for the delivery of the mechanical services package.
  • Develop and manage the mechanical project execution strategy.
  • Establish project objectives, deliverables, milestones and key performance indicators.
  • Manage the project from mobilisation through installation, commissioning and final handover.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Chair regular mechanical coordination and progress meetings.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Project Director, client, consultant, main contractor and project stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Ensure all project documentation and records are maintained to company and client requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed mechanical project programmes in conjunction with the planning team.
  • Monitor progress against agreed milestones and identify potential delays at an early stage.
  • Coordinate mechanical activities with civil, structural, electrical, architectural and specialist packages.
  • Plan labour, plant, materials and subcontractor requirements.
  • Drive short-term and look-ahead planning with the site management team.
  • Support recovery programmes where project performance falls behind target.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with the construction programme.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical construction/project management.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Trade Background, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale mechanical building services projects.
  • Significant experience working for a mechanical contractor.
  • Proven data centre project experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing projects with mechanical packages in the €10m+ range would be advantageous.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary construction interfaces.
  • Demonstrable experience through installation, commissioning and handover.
  • Experience working with major main contractors, consultants and international clients.
  • Previous experience working on projects in Ireland and/or mainland Europe is highly desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work internationally for extended project periods.
