Mechanical Project Engineer

ProSource Group are working with a client who are seeking a Project Engineer on a fulltime and permanent basis, based in Dublin, to work on key projects and assist in carrying them through to completion. This company have completed a large number of mechanical and electrical building services contracts serving a broad spectrum of the industry, including hotels and leisure, manufacturing, schools, health care and commercial and office developments.

Key duties of the role include, but are not restricted to:

• Generating project schedules in line with project team
• Monitoring project work 
• Preparation progress reports weekly and monthly
• Project engineering submissions and value engineering
• Project procurement and materials management
• Project build review and interaction with co-contractors
• Designing in 3D using AutoCAD 3D software
• Designing systems and components 
• Conducting experiments methodically, analysing data and interpreting results
• Test and evaluate theoretical designs
• Producing outline designs
• Conducting experiments, analyse data and interpret results
• Evaluating final product’s overall performance, reliability and safety
• Altering and modifying designs to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions
• Ensuring client satisfaction

Ideal Candidate

• A relevant 3rd level qualification
• 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Be results driven with excellent communication skills
• Experience in technical submittals
• Experience in commissioning and handover procedures
• A proven strong work ethic
• Proven experience in successful projects
• Excellent communicator
• Work on own initiative and with team
• Computer literate and familiar with MS office, or project
