Mechanical Project Engineer - Midlands

ProSource Group are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer for a specialist Mechanical contractor based in the Midlands to assist in delivering exciting commercial & educational projects.

Core Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the below engineering activities when assigned to a project.

• Collate all design documents and drawings
• Carry out an estimation to engineering team project handover
• Review Design Package received and understand specifications, schedules, and drawings received
• Pricing Plant and Materials
• Identify value engineering opportunities
• Establishing Project Budgets
• Compiling and issuing Technical Submittals
• Attending Project Meetings
• Raise and Track Project RFI’s
• Liaise with BIM team and review co-ordinated drawings for compliance
• Ordering Plant and Materials
• Compiling Sub-Contractor Works Packages
• Pricing Variations
• Establishing Commissioning Figures and Sequence
• Appointing Sub-Contractors
• Organising and issuing project handover certificates
• Compiling & Issuing O&M Manuals

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 4 year’s experience in a similar role
• Strong communication and team skills
• Ability to take ownership of assigned projects
• Ability to deliver assigned tasks within set deadline dates
• Knowledge of Mechanical Services including reading and interpreting building services drawings and schematics.
• Commercial Awareness
• IT skills – Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, Adobe Editor, Navisworks
