Mechanical Engineer

The Role
I am searching for a Mechanical Engineer who will be involved with the delivery of electrical works across wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, upgrades, and infrastructure improvement schemes. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Mechanical Design Excellence Design water and wastewater systems, including pumping stations, treatment plants, and associated infrastructure, from concept through completion.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and process teams to ensure seamless project integration.
• Review electrical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and control systems documentation.
• Prepare comprehensive handover packs to the site team for any packages under your responsibility.
• Coordinate and assist with coordination of Mechanical disciplines and interfaces with CSA and Electrical.
• Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
• Review, monitor, and interpret the contract design documents supplied.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent (Level 7/8).
• 3+ years in a contractor environmet involving utilties, pharma or data center projects / consultancy experience must have water/wastewater experience.
• Advanced knowledge in: Water Services, Heating, HVAC, Above-Ground Drainage is a major bonus.
• Strong understanding of Irish building regulations and demonstrated ability to apply these in project environments.
• Effective team leadership and project management skills, commercial awareness, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and drive project performance.
