Mechanical Engineer

ProSource Group are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a leading Mechanical Contractor. As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in data centres, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical systems critical to the efficient operation of their data centre facilities in Frankfurt, Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and optimization of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to maintain optimal environmental conditions in the data centre.
• Design and oversee the installation of cooling solutions, including precision air conditioning, in-row cooling, and liquid cooling systems.
• Continuously evaluate and improve cooling strategies to ensure the effective management of heat generated by servers.
• Develop and implement airflow management strategies to maximise cooling efficiency and prevent hotspots within the data centre.
• Implement best practices for energy efficiency and sustainability within the data centre.
• Explore and recommend new technologies and practices to enhance overall energy performance.
• Design and implement advanced monitoring and control systems to ensure real-time tracking of environmental conditions.
• Design, implement, and maintain fire suppression systems to safeguard the data centre and its equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans to address mechanical failures or environmental hazards.
• Stay informed about industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Ensure the data centres compliance with relevant building codes and environmental regulations.

   Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in designing and maintaining mechanical systems.
• Proficient in HVAC systems design and optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
