Mechanical Engineer

The Role
I am searching for a Mechanical Engineer who will be involved with the delivery of electrical works across wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, upgrades, and infrastructure improvement schemes. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Mechanical Design Excellence Design water and wastewater systems, including pumping stations, treatment plants, and associated infrastructure, from concept through completion.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and process teams to ensure seamless project integration.
• Review electrical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and control systems documentation.
• Prepare comprehensive handover packs to the site team for any packages under your responsibility.
• Coordinate and assist with coordination of Mechanical disciplines and interfaces with CSA and Electrical.
• Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
• Review, monitor, and interpret the contract design documents supplied.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar engineering role.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and maintenance is a plus.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems integration.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
• Full Irish driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required.
