Searching for someone with 2+ years' experience in mechanical or civil engineering environments, ideally with previous involvement in Irish Water frameworks and treatment plant works. You’ll play a key role in project delivery from design coordination through to on-site installation and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities - Support the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Liaise with design teams, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate technical delivery.
- Ensure mechanical works comply with Irish Water standards, specifications, and site-specific requirements.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, and schedules.
- Monitor progress and quality on-site, resolving technical issues as they arise.
- Conduct site inspections, surveys, and assist with snagging/closeout activities.
- Contribute to HSEQ compliance, including risk assessments, method statements, and toolbox talks.
- Assist with procurement of mechanical equipment and liaise with vendors as required.
- Provide technical support to construction teams throughout project lifecycle.
Candidate Requirements - Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mechanical engineering role, preferably in civils, utilities, or infrastructure.
- Prior experience working on water or wastewater treatment projects is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge or working experience with Irish Water codes of practice and framework processes.
- Proficiency in reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, and using tools like AutoCAD.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Ability to manage technical issues independently and work effectively within a wider project team.
- Full driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites across Dublin and surrounding regions.
