Mechanical Design Engineer (Data Centres) - West Dublin

ProSource Group is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer (Data Centres/Critical Systems) on behalf of a global consultancy. This position will be based in its on-site office (West Dublin).
You’ll be a key contributor in delivering innovative, scalable, and energy-efficient electrical design solutions for some of the most advanced and high-profile data centre projects in Ireland, Europe & beyond.
The role provides the opportunity to shape global data centre design standards while working with clients who value quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the mechanical design and delivery of complex building services projects within the science, technology, and industrial sectors.
• Develop and implement innovative, sustainable solutions aligned with net-zero carbon targets, including embodied carbon analysis and circular economy principles.
• Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams including architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical growth and team development.
• Oversee contractor engagement and ensure successful delivery, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent.
• 3-7 years’ experience in mechanical design of data centre, mission-critical, or high availability facilities.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical design tools 
• Demonstrated leadership in supporting engineering design teams and
  coordinating with multi-disciplinary project stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail, with a results-driven and proactive mindset.
• Proven experience delivering data centre design projects.
• Familiarity with the Irish or UK construction and engineering markets.
