Mechanical Design Engineer

ProSource Group are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of one of Irelands leading M&E Consultancies. This is a Dublin-based position.

€45,000 - €55,000 + package on offer.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to develop innovative and sustainable mechanical systems for construction projects.
• Create detailed mechanical design plans, drawings, and specifications, adhering to local building codes and industry standards.
• Prioritise the design of energy-efficient HVAC systems.
• Utilise your technical knowledge to choose and dimension mechanical components and equipment so that they fulfil cost and performance specifications.
• Manage project schedules, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and make sure designs live up to customer expectations to help with project management.
• Keep up on Irish industry laws and building requirements, and make sure that designs adhere to all applicable rules.
• Review and approve mechanical designs to ensure accuracy, functionality, and safety.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide expert guidance on mechanical design aspects.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services Engineering or a related field.
• 3 years + Experience in mechanical design for construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
• Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
