M&E CAD Technician

ProSource Group is partnering with a respected M&E consultancy to recruit an AutoCAD Technician for their Dublin office. This role offers the chance to work on major long-term turnkey projects while continuing to develop your technical expertise and career. 

The Role

As an M&E AutoCAD Technician, you will be central to the design and coordination of mechanical and electrical systems across a variety of projects. Using your CAD expertise, you’ll create detailed and accurate drawings, ensuring they align with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with engineers and project managers, you’ll help drive projects from concept through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate project requirements into technical outputs.
• Ensure all designs are compliant with codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Perform clash detection analysis and propose coordination solutions across disciplines.
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain organised project files and documentation.
• Provide technical support to the wider project team where required.

About You

• Degree in Engineering, Design, or related discipline.
• CAD certification is essential.
• Previous experience as a CAD Technician in an Irish consultancy environment (essential).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to also work independently.
• Familiar with best practices in CAD and industry standards.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work effectively in fast-paced project environments.
