Management Accountant - Athlone

Our client, a progressive accountancy practice with a strong reputation for delivering outsourced financial services, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their Athlone office.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic outsourced services team, providing high-level CFO duties and commercial insights to a diverse client base.

As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering financial and strategic support to clients. Responsibilities include:

1. Preparation of regular management information, including:
   
   • Management accounts
   • Debtors and creditors listings
   • Cashflow statements and forecasts
2. Assisting clients with budgeting and financial planning
3. Providing commercial insights and financial analysis to support decision-making.
4. Acting as a trusted advisor to client management teams on financial performance.
5. Supporting the firm’s internal accounts team when required.
6. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
7. Building strong client relationships and adding value through proactive financial guidance.
8. Other adhoc tasks as required.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally in a client-facing or commercial finance role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to prepare and interpret management information.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to see beyond the numbers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Ability to work on own initiative while being a team player.
