About the role
This is a Lead Originator position focused on environmental commodities, reporting to the Director of Commercial.
You’ll join a small, high-performing team with full ownership of your desk, responsibility for revenue generation, and the opportunity to grow a P&L.
This role sits alongside an established commercial function covering PPAs and structured energy products, with a specific focus on environmental markets.
  
Responsibilities

• Originate, structure and execute environmental commodity transactions (GOs, REGOs, Renewable Gas Certificates, EU ETS carbon)
• Own and grow a portfolio P&L across environmental products in power and gas markets
• Build and develop a client pipeline across renewable developers, biomethane producers, corporates and carbon market participants
• Lead commercial negotiations, optimising pricing, risk and long-term value
• Identify new revenue streams across carbon markets, renewable gas certification and cross-border trading
• Work closely with Trading to develop scalable products, using market insight and regulatory developments

  
Requirements

• Experience in environmental commodities, carbon or wider energy markets
• Background in originating, structuring or trading environmental products
• Strong understanding of pricing, liquidity and market drivers
• Commercial mindset with the ability to generate revenue and manage P&L
• Network across developers, utilities, corporates or carbon market participants is beneficial
