Junior Revit Technician

ProSource Group are working with a top consultancy who is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Revit Technician to join its Building Services Engineering team in Dublin. The successful candidate will support the production of high-quality 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for mechanical and electrical building services across a range of projects, including commercial, residential, healthcare, education and other developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and maintaining 3D Revit models for mechanical and electrical building services, including HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, plumbing and public health systems.
• Produce 2D engineering drawings, layouts, sections, elevations and details from Revit models under the guidance of senior technicians and engineers.
• Interpret engineering drawings, design information, specifications, sketches and mark-ups to support accurate model development.
• Assist with the coordination of building services models with architectural, structural and other engineering disciplines.
• Support design reviews, model checking and clash detection to identify potential coordination issues and assist with their resolution.
• Maintain model accuracy and drawing quality in accordance with project requirements, BIM execution plans and company procedures.
• Assist with the preparation, revision and issue of drawings and technical information in line with project deadlines and document control procedures.
• Follow established BIM standards, naming conventions, modelling practices and information management workflows, including relevant ISO 19650 principles.
• Collaborate with engineers, BIM coordinators and other project team members to ensure design information is accurately communicated.
• Participate in internal training, mentoring and continuous professional development to strengthen technical and digital construction skills.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• A relevant qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, BIM, CAD or a related technical discipline; equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
• Basic working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, with an interest in developing proficiency in 3D modelling and technical drawing production.
• An understanding of engineering drawings and the ability to interpret technical information accurately.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Strong communication, organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while taking responsibility for assigned tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and enthusiasm for developing a career in BIM and building services engineering.
