Company Intro / Summary
A well-established civil engineering contractor is seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Kildare. With a strong pipeline of projects across the Greater Dublin region, this role offers the chance to be part of large and exciting schemes in roads, infrastructure, and major civil works. While civils experience is preferred, candidates with backgrounds in other sectors such as residential or commercial will also be considered, making this an excellent opportunity to broaden experience and progress within a reputable contractor.
  
Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing the commercial aspects of multiple civil and infrastructure projects.
  • Support in the preparation of budgets, cost plans, and tender documentation.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and manage procurement processes.
  • Monitor project costs, cash flow, and variations, providing regular updates.
  • Assist with the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Gain exposure to all aspects of commercial management with mentorship from senior surveyors.
Requirements
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.
  • 2–3 years’ post-graduate experience in a QS role.
  • Civils experience is an advantage but not essential – all backgrounds considered.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QS software tools.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and eager to progress within a leading contractor.
Package
  • €45,000 - €50,000 DOE.
