Junior Quantity Surveyor

Company Intro / Summary
An established Main Building Contractor is looking to add a Junior Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team in Cork. This is a strong opportunity for a QS with some industry experience who is looking to develop their career within an established contractor and gain further exposure to live construction projects.

Responsibilities
• Supporting the commercial management of construction projects
• Assisting with valuations, cost reports and financial reporting
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor management
• Monitoring project costs, variations and claims
• Assisting with subcontractor accounts and final accounts
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Working closely with Senior QSs, Project Managers and site teams
• Maintaining accurate commercial records throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements
• Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics – essential
• Minimum 1 year’s Quantity Surveying experience
• Previous main contractor experience would be advantageous
• Good understanding of construction and commercial processes
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn and develop

Package
• Salary: €45,000 – €50,000 DOE
