Junior Quantity Surveyor

A leading Project and Cost Management Consultancy in Dublin is seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This firm is known for its client-focused approach and successful delivery of projects across commercial, residential, education, and healthcare sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career QS to gain exposure to a wide variety of projects while receiving hands-on mentorship from senior professionals in a consultancy environment.
  
Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation.
• Support senior quantity surveyors with cost management and project monitoring throughout all phases.
• Contribute to value engineering exercises and cost benchmarking.
• Attend site visits and assist in progress valuations and project reporting.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and design teams to ensure accurate cost control and timely project delivery.
• Help maintain up-to-date records of costs, measurements, and project variations.
• Work with software tools to support the delivery of financial reports and final accounts.

  
Requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a quantity surveying or cost consultancy environment.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with cost software is a plus.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a consultancy setting.
• Working towards chartership (SCSI/RICS) is desirable.

• €45,000 - €50,000 DOE
