Junior Quantity Surveyor

A leading utilities contractor is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team based in Charleville. Working on ESB infrastructure projects, the company has established itself as a trusted delivery partner within the utilities sector and continues to secure a strong pipeline of work across Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Quantity Surveyor with around two years' experience to develop their career within a well-established organisation. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced commercial team, gaining exposure to essential infrastructure projects while benefiting from ongoing mentorship and excellent long-term career progression.

Responsibilities
• Assist in the commercial management of ESB infrastructure projects from commencement through to final account.
• Support the preparation of valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement and package management.
• Prepare and assess variations and support the agreement of final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and assist with commercial reporting.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
• Support senior quantity surveyors with the successful delivery of multiple projects.

Requirements
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the Irish construction industry.
• Previous experience within utilities, civils, or infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative commercial team.
• Ambitious individual looking to build a long-term career within a growing business.

Package
• €50,000 DOE.
