Junior Quantity Surveyor

Company Intro / Summary
A highly regarded project and cost management consultancy with a strong national footprint is looking to appoint a Junior Quantity Surveyor to its Cork office. The firm is involved in the delivery of a wide range of developments across Ireland, spanning residential, commercial, data centres, and public sector projects, and also supports select projects overseas through its wider business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career QS to gain exposure to varied project types while developing within a structured consultancy environment that places a strong emphasis on professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial management of projects from early design through to completion.
• Assist with cost plans, budgets, tender documentation, and financial reporting.
• Support procurement processes and contractor evaluations.
• Monitor costs and assist with change management and valuations.
• Attend client, design team, and progress meetings.
• Carry out site visits as required to support cost control and reporting.
• Work closely with senior QS and project management staff across multiple projects.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related discipline.
• 1–2 years’ post-graduate experience in a QS or commercial role.
• Experience within a consultancy or client-side environment is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong numerical ability with good attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with a proactive and organised approach to work.
• Ambitious and keen to progress toward chartership.

• €45,000 – €50,000 DOE
