Junior Estimator

A well-established main building contractor based in Galway is seeking a Junior Estimator to join their pre-construction team. The company delivers a broad range of projects across the commercial, residential, and public sectors and has built a strong reputation for quality delivery and long-term client relationships.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career estimator to develop their skillset within a supportive environment, working closely with experienced senior estimators and the wider commercial team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Carry out take-offs and measurements from drawings and specifications.
• Support the pricing of subcontractor and supplier packages.
• Help analyse tender documentation and identify risks and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and pricing databases.
• Assist with handovers from pre-construction to project delivery teams.
• Work collaboratively with commercial, design, and project teams.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Some exposure to estimating or commercial roles within construction (placement or post-grad experience welcomed).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Ambitious and motivated with a long-term career focus in estimating.

Package

• €45,000 – €55,000 DOE
