Junior Electrical Design Engineer

ProSource are recruiting a Electrical Design Engineer position on behalf of an MEP consultancy who are continuing to grow with an extensive amount of ongoing projects in Kilkenny.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of electrical designs for data, power, fire alarm, containment, lighting, and life-safety systems.
• Support senior engineers with calculations, schematics, layouts, and technical documents.
• Help produce CAD/Revit drawings and contribute to BIM coordination activities.
• Take part in site visits, surveys, and design team meetings.
• Assist in reviewing technical information and ensuring project documentation is completed to a high standard.
• Contribute to internal meetings, quality reviews, and design coordination.
• Follow structured development plans to support quick upskilling and
  progression.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
• 1–3+ years’ experience in electrical design (placement, internship, or graduate role beneficial but not essential).
• Interest in learning design software such as Dialux, Amtech, ETAP, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Eager to learn, proactive, and enthusiastic about building services engineering.
