Junior Electrical Design Engineer - West Dublin

A well-established and respected building services engineering consultancy is seeking a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join its team in West Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career engineer to develop strong technical foundations within a consultancy environment delivering high-quality building services projects across commercial and mixed-use sectors.
You will work alongside experienced mechanical and electrical engineers in a collaborative M&E team, gaining exposure to projects from concept design through to construction and handover.

The Role

As a Junior Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the design and coordination of electrical building services systems across live projects.
Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the design of electrical building services systems including:
  
  • Lighting & emergency lighting
  • Small power & distribution
  • Fire alarm & life safety systems
  • Containment & cable management
• Producing drawings and layouts using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Supporting preparation of calculations, technical reports, and specifications.
• Coordinating designs with mechanical, architectural and structural teams.
• Attending site visits and supporting construction-stage queries.
• Ensuring compliance with Irish building regulations and electrical standards.

This role provides strong mentorship and structured development within a technically driven consultancy.

About You

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• 1–2 years’ experience (consultancy, placement or graduate experience welcome).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Strong technical curiosity and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
• Keen interest in progressing toward professional accreditation (Engineers Ireland / CIBSE).
