Junior Electrical Design Engineer - Cork

ProSource Group are seeking a Junior Electrical Design Engineer on behalf of a growing M&E consultancy to join their Cork office. The team delivers electrical building services design and project support for high-profile clients across sectors such as Pharmaceutical, MedTech, Food, Industrial and Commercial, working on projects up to €50m in value.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to gain real project exposure, strong mentorship, and a clear path to progression within a technically strong multi-disciplinary environment.

Key duties include:

• Supporting the design of electrical systems including lighting, emergency lighting, small power, general services, containment and buildersworks.
• Assisting with electrical calculations, schedules, specifications and technical documentation.
• Producing drawings and layouts in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
• Coordinating designs with mechanical engineers and other disciplines.
• Assisting with site inspections, surveys, and responding to contractor queries during construction.
• Supporting project delivery tasks such as document control, tender packs and design reviews.
• Working in line with internal Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and prioritising health & safety.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Ideally 1–3 years experience (placements/internships welcome)
• Strong interest in building services design and sustainable electrical solutions
• Familiarity with AutoCAD / Revit (advantage)
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Strong communication skills and collaborative working style
