Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

Company Intro / Summary
A leading main building contractor is seeking an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Dublin. The company is currently delivering several major projects across the capital, including large-scale residential schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious QS to work on high-profile projects and progress within one of Ireland’s most reputable Tier One contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage cost planning, budgeting, and procurement for multiple large-scale projects.
• Prepare tender documentation, bills of quantities, and subcontractor packages.
• Oversee subcontractor selection, negotiation, and account management.
• Monitor costs, variations, and valuations to ensure accurate reporting and financial control.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to support successful delivery.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and support commercial decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ post-graduate experience with a main building contractor.
• Proven experience working on healthcare, residential, or mixed-use projects.
• Strong understanding of Irish construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software tools.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational abilities.
• Ambitious, professional, and eager to develop within a Tier One environment.

Package

• Salary: €60,000 – €65,000 DOE.
• Full-time, permanent position based in South Dublin.
