Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

A leading Tier One Main Building Contractor is seeking an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team on major Data Centre projects across Mainland Europe. The company has an outstanding reputation for delivering large-scale, technically complex developments across the commercial, industrial, and technology sectors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain international project exposure within a structured, progressive, and well-supported commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of large-scale Data Centre projects from tender through to final account.
• Prepare budgets, cost plans, and tender documentation for mechanical, electrical, and structural packages.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor negotiations, and contract administration.
• Track project costs, variations, and valuations to ensure accurate reporting and financial control.
• Liaise closely with project managers, design teams, and clients to support delivery objectives.
• Contribute to value engineering exercises and cost optimisation strategies.
• Support senior commercial management with cost forecasting, cash flow, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ post-graduate experience, ideally with exposure to Data Centres, industrial, or large-scale commercial projects.
• Experience with Tier One contractors or large international projects is advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction methodologies.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS software tools.
• Willingness to work on-site in Mainland Europe, with full travel and accommodation expenses covered.

Package

• Salary: €60,000 – €70,000 DOE.
• Full-time, permanent role based on projects across Mainland Europe.
