Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer

ProSource Group are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of one of Irelands leading Mechanical, Electrical, and Sustainability Consultancies. This position is based in it's Dublin office. 

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join a dynamic and constantly growing team in Dublin. This role is ideal for an engineer with solid design experience in mechanical services installations, particularly in the healthcare, education, pharma and commercial sectors.
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed mechanical design plans, drawings, and specifications, adhering to local building codes and industry standards.
• Focus on designing energy-efficient HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to minimise environmental impact and operational costs.
• Apply your technical expertise to select and size mechanical equipment and components, ensuring they meet performance and budget requirements.
• Assist in project management by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring designs meet client expectations.
• Stay up to date with Irish building regulations and industry codes, and ensure designs are compliant with all relevant guidelines.
• Review and approve mechanical designs to ensure accuracy, functionality, and safety.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide expert guidance on mechanical design aspects.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the design of mechanical building services.
• Experience using AutoCAD/Revit/IES in a building services environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Full, clean driving licence and access to own transport.

The successful candidate will receive:

• Salary - €48,000 - €58,000 + package on offer.
