Integration Engineer

We are working with a small but growing energy management business based in Kerry that designs, installs and operates its own metering and monitoring platform. The company supports commercial and industrial clients in understanding, managing and reducing energy use, with technology and data at the core of what they do.
This is an Integration Engineer role sitting between hardware in the field and a software platform. The focus is on integration, commissioning and troubleshooting, ensuring that metering and monitoring equipment is correctly configured and that data coming into the platform is accurate and reliable once systems are live.
Because the business is small, this role is genuinely important. You will have real ownership, visibility and influence over how systems are integrated and commissioned, rather than working within rigid or overly layered processes.
The role is primarily remote, with the flexibility to work from home. There will be occasional travel to client sites and the Kerry office, mainly for collaboration and team culture rather than day-to-day attendance.
Key responsibilities:
- Integrating metering and monitoring hardware into a proprietary software platform
- Commissioning systems and validating data accuracy once live
- Troubleshooting issues across hardware, communications and data layers
- Supporting client installations and system handovers
- Working closely with internal technical teams to improve integration and commissioning approaches
Suitable backgrounds may include:
- BMS, controls or automation engineering
- Energy monitoring, metering or power management systems
- SCADA, EPMS or systems integration roles
- Engineers comfortable working post-install, validating live systems and data
More details:
- A technically hands-on role with real ownership and impact
- Flexible, remote-first working arrangement
- Exposure to a growing energy management platform and business
- Opportunity to shape how systems are delivered as the company scales
If you’re interested in a role where your work directly affects system performance, data quality and client outcomes, this could be a strong fit.
