HSQE Officer required to join a leading Civils contractor with ongoing projects across the South East. Responsibilities: - Develop and update health and safety policies in compliance with Irish regulations.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture across all sites.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and regulation.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Deliver toolbox talks, coaching sessions, and training to staff and contractors.
- Maintain accurate HSQE records through our online EHS system.
- Advise site teams and management on improvements and compliance matters.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the health and safety management system.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into planning and execution.
Requirements: - 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety or related field.
- Experience in the construction sector (utilities experience is a strong advantage).
- In-depth knowledge of HSQE regulations, ISO standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in influencing and challenging decisions when necessary.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Full, valid Irish driver’s licence.
