Key Responsibilities - Lead the implementation of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards across multiple projects.
- Act as the main HSQE contact for project teams, clients, and senior management.
- Manage and mentor a team of HSQE Advisors, ensuring consistent support across your project portfolio.
- Work alongside Project Managers and operational teams to embed a strong safety culture throughout all stages of project delivery.
- Ensure project-specific management plans, quality procedures, and environmental controls are implemented and maintained.
- Monitor project performance through regular inspections, audits, and KPI reporting, ensuring corrective actions are completed promptly.
- Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and utility strikes, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
- Develop and coordinate training programmes, inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing competency requirements for employees and subcontractors.
- Support and participate in client audits, inspections, and safety meetings while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across health & safety, quality, and environmental performance.
- Promote workforce engagement through behavioural safety initiatives, awareness campaigns, and recognition programmes.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting project performance, compliance, and improvement opportunities.
Requirements - Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in an HSQE Management position within civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, or construction.
- Strong understanding of Irish Health & Safety legislation and management systems.
- Experience leading teams and supporting multiple live projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence teams at all levels.
- Strong investigation, reporting, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital reporting systems.
- Full Irish driving licence and willingness to travel between project locations.
