H&S Officer - Civils

This would suit someone with 2–4 years’ experience who is comfortable operating independently across live sites, but who is still looking to develop their career within an established H&S team. Regular travel between projects will form an important part of the position.

Key Responsibilitie

• Provide day-to-day Health & Safety support across multiple construction sites.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers and subcontractors to maintain strong safety standards.
• Review RAMS and other project safety documentation.
• Deliver toolbox talks, site briefings and safety initiatives.
• Monitor corrective actions and ensure identified issues are closed out.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations and reporting.
• Maintain accurate H&S records and support project reporting requirements.
• Promote a positive and practical safety culture across project teams.

Requirement

• 2–4 years’ experience in a construction Health & Safety position.
• Background within civil engineering, infrastructure or a main contractor preferred.
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification.
• Confident working independently without requiring constant supervision.
• Good knowledge of Irish construction Health & Safety requirements.
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with site personnel.
• Full Irish driving licence.
• Flexibility to travel regularly between North Leinster and Dublin.
