H&S Officer

The Role
You will support the ongoing development and implementation of health & safety systems, with a particular focus on improving processes and enhancing the use of digital safety platforms such as Hammertech. You will work closely with site teams, project managers, and senior H&S personnel to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of health & safety processes.
• Assist in managing and optimising the use of Hammertech or similar H&S management systems.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance and support site teams.
• Carry out inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Assist with RAMS, safety documentation, and incident reporting.
• Work closely with project and engineering teams to ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Promote a positive safety culture across both office and site environments.
• Support ongoing compliance with regulatory and company H&S requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5–2 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within construction or engineering.
• Relevant qualification:
  
  • Level 8 degree in Health & Safety (preferred), or
  • Level 7 (minimum 3-year programme) in a related discipline.
• Experience working within construction, engineering, or similar project environments is essential.
• Strong interest in improving systems, processes, and digital H&S tools.
• Good communication skills with the ability to engage both office and site teams.
• Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
