High Voltage Estimator

Summary
A leading engineering company is seeking to appoint a High Voltage Estimator to join their team based in Dublin. This role is suited to an experienced Estimator who is comfortable operating independently, taking full ownership of tenders and pricing activities from day one.

The Role

• Preparation of accurate and competitive tenders for High Voltage Substation projects across Ireland
• Full responsibility for the estimating process from initial enquiry through to submission
• Detailed take-offs, pricing, and bill preparation from drawings and specifications
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
• Reviewing project risks, opportunities, and commercial considerations at tender stage
• Working closely with senior management to support work-winning activities

Requirements

• Proven experience working as an Estimator within High Voltage / Substation projects
• Ability to manage the estimating function independently and confidently
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, construction methodologies, and cost control
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Comfortable working to deadlines with minimal supervision
• Relevant third-level qualification desirable but not essential
