This role will suit a Health & Safety professional who is comfortable covering multiple sites across Munster. You'll need to be able to travel up to 1.5 hours each way to sites, with flexible daily scheduling to fit around site needs and travel.
Key Responsibilities: - Implement and monitor the company Health & Safety management system across multiple sites.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety walks, and report findings with corrective actions.
- Review RAMS, method statements and risk assessments from site teams and subcontractors.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Investigate and report incidents and near misses, and track corrective actions to close-out.
- Maintain accurate H&S records, registers, permits and inspection documentation.
- Make sure sites comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act and construction regulations.
- Work with Site Managers, Engineers and Project Managers to promote a strong safety culture.
- Plan your own weekly site visit schedule across the region.
Requirements: - Level 7/8 degree in Health & Safety or a related discipline, or a NEBOSH qualification.
- Minimum 2 years' Health & Safety experience in construction or civil engineering.
- Good working knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and construction regulations.
- Able to travel up to 1.5 hours each way to sites across Munster (Not going to be this every day but must be willing as some days it could be the case).
- Flexible, self-motivated, and able to manage your own schedule.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to engage with site crews and subcontractors.
- Full Irish driving licence and own vehicle.
