Health & Safety Officer

ProSource are seeking a committed and experienced Health & Safety Officer to for a role in Waterford with a Main Building Contractor. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in health and safety within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and update comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation and industry best practices.
• Develop site-specific safety plans tailored to individual project needs and risks.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate health and safety considerations into project planning and execution.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure their compliance with the company's safety standards.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures for various potential incidents.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all health and safety activities, incidents, inspections, and trainings.
• Prepare and present regular reports on health and safety performance to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Health & Safety Officer within the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or a related field.
