Health & Safety Advisor - Main Contractor

ProSource are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor for a position in Belgium. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of safety policies and procedures on-site.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to;

• Lead the implementation of H&S standards on the construction site.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, reporting findings to the Project Manager and HSEQ Manager.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, regulations, and company procedures.
• Assist in the development of Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Safe Plans of Action (SPAs).
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to site staff and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented.
• Liaise with local authorities and client safety representatives to ensure alignment with legal and contractual obligations.
• Maintain accurate records of all H&S documentation, incidents, audits, and training.
• Promote a culture of safety-first and continuous improvement on-site.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following;

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch is an advantage.
• Computer literate (MS Office, incident reporting systems, auditing tools).
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive safety performance.
